Coux pastry

5:00 PM

My favorite pastry to now make is coux pastry. I'm pretty sure no one clearly likes it just as much as me in my household.

I promise it had nothing to do with the food I cooked.

I had food poisoning last night... It came from the store bought salsa. Never. Ever. Again.

I'll make my own from now on. So my food choice had to be something easy to eat, light on the stomach.

I love coux pastry.

I got the recipe here.

Melt 2 ounces of butter in 3/4 cup water.

Add 1/2 cup flour and stir. It will look strange, but it will start to dough up.

Let dough cool, Beat 2 eggs. Add in the eggs and mix.

Once the dough is mixed together put into a piping bag.

Pipe into rounds.

Bake at 425 degrees for about 30 minutes.

Middle rack. Take out after 30 minutes and cut or poke a hole in the side and place back into the oven for 10 minutes.

Let cool and fill with your favorite filling.

They are good. Oh so good, and oh so easy.
