Brandy Snaps

I watched an old episode of the great British bake off and someone completely failed at brandy snaps. So of course if something looks difficult I have to attempt it.


And they aren't that hard, when you have good full instruction and a basic knowledge of how they should look.

In a sauce pan melt 5 tablespoons butter, 1/3 cup sugar and 1/4 cup honey. Once the sugar has dissolved add in 1/2 cup flour and 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger.


Drop in three small drops on a pan with parchment paper or silicone mat. Place in the oven at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes.


Take out of the oven and let cool for 30 seconds before wrapping the round cookies around a spoon handle.


Let cool on a wire rack before filling with whipped cream or any kind of filling if your choice.
