Candy Corn Swirl Sugar Cookies

5:00 PM

Halloween is around the corner. I'm already polishing my broom and dusting off my witches hat. (We take All Hallows Eve seriously.)
So All Hallows Eve cookies are made before the brooms hit the sky.
I got the recipe here.

Start out by beating 1 cup butter with 1 cup sugar.

Next add in 1 large egg, 1 teaspoon baking powder and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

Add in 2 1/2 cups of flour.

Take it out of the bowl and slice into 3 parts.

Dye one part orange, one part yellow and leave one plain.

Roll out each color.

Stack each color in the order you want, and roll again (only a little).

Roll up into a roll.

Cut into slices.

Place on baking sheet.

Bake at 350 for 8 - 10 minutes.

Let cool and enjoy. Bring them to the party, host the party, or devour with a cup of hot coco. Your choice.

They bring in festive cheer. And Cheery they are.
